About the Role
Doing Steel Fabrication is seeking a professional to assist our Sales Team!
The ideal person will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates for small to large, often complex projects. Responsible for reviewing design drawings to perform steel takeoffs.
Candidate should be able to identify steel requirements and work with Estimating Manager to apply material and budgeted hours to create a bid.
Requirements
Candidate should be able to identify steel requirements and work with Estimating Manager to apply material and budgeted hours to create a bid. Candidate should also understand purchasing, detailing, engineering, erection, scheduling, fabrication, coatings, and shipping in regard to steel.
Ability to bid and manage work from conceptual stage through completion
Working knowledge of blueprints and construction specifications
Advanced computer skills with estimating software, also proficiency with MS Office
Understand aspects of structural steel and misc. metal concepts
Working knowledge of field operations and project management is a plus.
Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient who can apply these skills directly to estimates and constructability, to generate competitive bids.
Must have the aptitude for the comprehensive reading of plan drawings and the ability to interpret project specifications.
